Around the year 3500 AD, humanity realizes the limitations of their science in venturing into space. The goddess Iris, realizing the impossibility of interstellar communication, invents the concepts of faster-than-light speeds and magic.
Thus, humanity succeeds in venturing into nearby star systems, and by around the year 8500, known as the Middle Ages, they expand by terraforming star systems like Sirius, Polaris, and Proxima Centauri.
Now, in the year 13145, humanity has successfully occupied parts of the galaxy, and all humans, including Earthlings, are able to handle various forms of magic, with societies in nearby star systems operating based on Earth time.
In space, there exists a combat level to measure strength. A typical adult male is set at level 1, and the level increases by 1 for every 40% increase in strength beyond the current level (applied multiplicatively).
