Hajime Iwaizumi and Tooru Oikawa

Oikawa Tooru and Nakano Alex have known each other since childhood and promised to marry when they grew up, but Alex moved to another place. However, soon after, Oikawa met Iwaizumi Hajime, who would become his best friend from that moment until the third year of high school, where Iwaizumi would become the boyfriend of the prodigy from Nekoma, in the women's league, Nakano Alex.

Apparently, Iwaizumi is a somewhat stubborn person, but a clearly reliable teammate, often being Oikawa's point man to do a morale boost in the team if needed.
He acts in solidarity with everyone, including Tobio Kageyama, as well as being the one to call Oikawa to task for his childish antics. He often resorts to violence with Oikawa, but this does not change the fact that he cares a great deal about him, as shown when he makes an effort to stop Oikawa from working too hard or when he loses confidence.
He has a firm attitude, even leading some members of Aoba Jousai's team to look forward, causing the team to have great respect for him, even more than their captain.
Oikawa Tooru: Despite his flirtatious nature (which makes him very famous among female students, both Tanaka and Nishinoya envy him) and childish (as pointed out by his nephew and Iwaizumi), Oikawa is an excellent player, well rounded and is very serious when it comes to volleyball. He knows that he has a "nasty personality" among some opponents and his own teammates, caused by his petulant attitude. Oikawa also frequently makes lighthearted comments, but follows them with a serious or intimidating tone. Despite his flirtatious and dismissive exterior, Oikawa is extremely intelligent and cunning, to the point that his own teammates indicate that they do not want to be friends with him because he notices everyone's weaknesses (Oikawa responds indignantly by asking why he would do that to his own teammates).
