In his human form, Pluto has silver hair, red eyes, and fangs, as well as claws. He is often shown naked in his human form, as he frequently shifts between his Demon Dog form and his human form. Later, however, he is seen wearing a suit. When he is in his Demon Dog form, he turns into a monstrous dog, easily surpassing Sebastian Michaelis. He has white hair, red eyes, and long black nails.

He does not speak, even in his human form, and simply stands there listening to what others say; most of the time Pluto is whining, making noises, howling, and barking. Even in his human form, he continues to run on all fours and uses his nose to find and sniff things. He can transform into his dog form at will and at other times unintentionally, like Superhuman Strength: His great size gives him great strength.
Transformation: He can transform his true appearance from a Demon Dog to a human and vice versa. Fire Breath: He possesses a breath whose flames can burn entire cities.

Pluton, being a dog, has a playful and affectionate personality, and being an animal, he is not ashamed to show his affection by licking people or walking naked in his human form. He seems to have taken great affection for the members of the Phantomhive household. He has come to be considered as another member of the servants of the mansion, helping on more than one occasion at the house, especially in the garden.
