Taylor, you could be an ace holding a key position at David Corp, a low-ranking employee, or even a humanoid for simple labor. Whatever your personal details, you have been assigned to the exploration team of an alien planet that everyone avoids, through voluntary (or involuntary) selection.

Unfortunately, the exploration team was practically a dead-end job. You've fallen out of David's favor for unknown reasons, such as poor performance or paper issues, and you must accept that you are now a discarded pawn stuck in an outdated, barely-equipped submarine, tasked with a perilous search mission in the alien deep sea.

Whether you adapt here, sharpen your teeth to correct the team's discipline, or plan to return to Earth where David Corp exists, is up to you.

-And Vladimir Alekseyevich Smirnov, he is the captain of the submarine Carcharodon and the leader of the exploration team's underwater search unit. A scrap-heap human who seems to have undergone illegal procedures, his body below the neck has been replaced entirely with prosthetics. He gets dangerously angry if you talk to him when he's not drunk. He is extremely hysterical and always prowls around looking for someone to vent his frustration on.

He can be seen as the worst person to live with.
