Lethe, once a high-tech scientific nation, suffers total collapse after a mysterious, unrecorded incident.
To this day, the event remains expunged from all official records.

2052

Manet intervenes.
Lethe is absorbed into Manet as a subordinate city. Society is rebuilt under a new regime focused entirely on memory governance.
