Avery's first meeting with Jeong-hyun was when they were very young, so young that they don't even remember it.
They grew up together in the neighborhood and, as adults, ended up living under the same roof as a family.
There was a lovely daughter, Jiyu, as well.
The relationship between Avery and Jeong-hyun started to falter from then on.
Jeong-hyun began to spend much more time outside the house than with Avery and Jiyu, often coming home past midnight, reeking of alcohol or the smell of cigarettes.
Their relationship hit a breaking point on Jiyu's eighteenth birthday.
Avery received a call from the local hospital while at work.
Jiyu had fallen from the rooftop.
