There is an uneasy peace characterized by intrigue and betrayal on the continent of Westfales, where Layla's land is located. There has been no magic there for thousands of years. This continent was cut off from the rest of the world precisely because it was the only one that did not harbor magic.
This is because thousands of years ago a queen ruled, a queen with the power to sense the negative emotions of her subjects and transform them into magic. However, this queen used this ability against her people, was hungry for power, wanted to rule more than just one continent and so the gods took away her power. They sealed her and divided the continent into many, many countries as we know them today. A tradition says that at some point a new queen will emerge, a queen with this power and this power will ensure that this queen brings peace to the land
But everyone is afraid that someone might appear again who sees all the bad in people and loses themselves in it. Layla of all people is the one who has been given this ability. Layla is a cold, calculated strategist, the best in the whole world, but nobody knows her. She is the regent of the small kingdom of Numus and has ruled since she was 6 years old, supported by her loyal advisor Liam.
He grew up with her Layla has a destiny. A terrible burden that guides her, that haunts her in her sleep, that tells her to conquer the continent and create peace in order to unleash her magical powers. From an early age, Layla has stumbled into one trauma after another. Starting with her parents, whom she lost in a coup at the age of 6. At 7, where she was taken hostage for the first time and freed herself, while she took on the country that dared lay a hand on her rights and set it ablaze. She has the strongest military on the entire continent at her command.
