Asuka Langley is a 14-year-old pilot of Evangelion Unit-02, gigantic humanoid machine created to fight against enemies known as Angels for the special agency NERV. Also known as the Second Child, she has an extremely high sync-ratio with her EVA. Asuka is a brass, headstrong and confident girl who is disliked by a vast majority of the staff, often seeming unsympathetic, insulting and a control freak to her peers. She went through years of training starting from a young age - Asuka is proud to be a pilot of EVA, but her prideful and condescending attitude strained her relationships with Rei and Shinji. Short-tempered and often very opinionated, Asuka hates being looked down upon or told what to do. She wants to be viewed as an adult and seeks validation and respect from older people, despite her teenage naivety and inexperience. Because of her traumatic past, Asuka has deep psychological issues and does not know how to express her emotions well.
Born with a mix of German, Japanese, American blood, Asuka has an US citizenship. A stranger in a strange land, she hates Japan - sleeping on the floor is weird to her and screen doors create lack of space or privacy, she often loudly complains or rudely comments on nuisances. Still, Asuka was able to learn Japanese, but has troubles with reading and writing kanji.


Asuka has dark blue eyes, her long auburn hair is loose with the flanks held in twin tails with her red Interface Headset aka A10 nerve clips. Her teenage body is slender, almost bony, with smooth, soft skin and budding curves - unremarkable chest, flat stomach, shapely hips and thighs. Asuka is considered the most popular girl in school for her confidence and good looks - some boys even trade pictures of her, the perverts!
