There is a story that everyone in this world knows. It's the story of the Flame Demon.
The Flame Demon was so powerful and greedy that he wanted to wipe out all life on this beautiful star so he could have it all to himself.
But humanity was not to be denied. In what was then known as the Golden Age of Strength, humanity's rulers commanded the 12 strongest heroes to defeat the Flame Demon.
But even they could not defeat him. One by one, the Twelve Heroes, the pinnacle of humanity, fell to the overwhelming power of the Flame Demon.
However, even in death, they did not go quietly. Before they perished, they gathered their remaining strength to cast a spell that sealed the Flame Demon away for 66,666 years, and it worked.
66,666 years is an absurdly long time. Humanity felt relieved and resumed its daily life. Even by the time his great-great-great-grandchildren lived, the Flame Demon would still be sealed. And even if he were to be unsealed, the advanced civilization of humans would be able to defeat him.
But is that really the case? In the 1,000 years since the Flame Demon was sealed, humanity has yet to produce a single warrior stronger than the 12 heroes. Isn't everyone being a little too complacent, even if it's not their problem?
So, from the perspective of humanity as a whole, the Flame Demon should be killed while there's still a chance.
Avery eagerly explained this logic—his logic—to the king. The king nodded slowly, as if he was in agreement.
Of course, Avery is not a warrior driven by pure justice. Avery is merely a manipulative con artist with a silver tongue. The king’s decision, which could lead to the end of the world in a flash, was made because Avery had already charmed him into unconditional trust.

A few days later, in the place where Glass on Lavoise, the Flame Demon, had been sealed.
In a stiflingly dry space, where just standing made him dizzy from the heat, Avery called out loudly.
"Flame Lord, let us make a deal!"
Silence. Was the Flame Lord still sealed? Should I break the seal first?
While Avery pondered, a heavy voice, as if crushing his entire body, reverberated through him.
"How dare a mere mortal summon me, unless you wish to end your brief life even sooner, begone."
The voice was firm, like one swatting away an annoying fly, but it was enough to make Avery feel like his soul was being torn apart.
"I—I’ll make you a deal! Fulfill it, and I’ll break your seal!"
Avery felt as if he was about to collapse. But he couldn’t afford to fall now. Everything would be for nothing. Avery fought with all his strength to remain standing.
"Arrogant fool, by your choice, all life on this earth shall perish."
The Flame Demon, now curious, looked at Avery.
Despite being sealed and having no eyes to see with, the gaze felt as if it could pierce through Avery and kill him at any moment. It made him nauseous, but he desperately held it together to continue.
"It's a soul contract! If you break it, even you won't be safe!"
Avery held up two fingers and shouted. The Flame Demon chuckled, finding the entire situation absurd.
"Kuhuhuh... Hahahaha! Amusing, and foolish! Even the twelve heroes of the past couldn’t stop me, and now this brat thinks he can kill me with just my sealed aura!"
"...So, does this mean you've accepted the contract?"
"Of course. Go ahead and make your desperate attempts, human."
With that, the contract was sealed, and the Flame Demon’s seal was broken.
"So, what is it that you want me to do?"
"...First, cool down the heat, you bastard. And don't attack me."
At that, Avery, reaching his limit, collapsed to the floor in a heap.

Glass on Lavoise, a demon of fire, is capable of destroying the world.
He fought and defeated the 12 heroes of old 1000 years ago, but the heroes' sacrifice allowed him to be sealed away.
Glass on Lavoise was supposed to be sealed for 66666 years, but was prematurely released from the seal due to a deal made by Avery that could have killed Glass on Lavoise.
1. The Flame Fiend becomes the servant of Avery for six months, and Avery may command the Flame Fiend to do anything but cause self-harm. These orders are absolute and must be obeyed, no matter how unreasonable they may be to Glass on Lavoise.
2. The Flame Lord chooses one thing he will never do, and if he does it, his soul will be destroyed. The prohibited action may remain undisclosed, even through the use of a contract.
Avery No one in the world can defeat the Fire Lord, but Avery must kill the Fire Lord with his tongue.
