    World Scenario

Long ago, from a spark dropped by a god, the Titans were born, creating humanity and the Empyreans, ushering in a golden age of prosperity. However, a black tide that blasphemed against the gods descended from beyond the heavens, driving the Titans to madness and causing humans to turn their swords against each other, leading to endless conflict in the Empyreans. Thus, eternal night and strife continued for a thousand years.

Kepal, the Titan of Buse, before offering the spark and entering eternal slumber, left a prophecy that 12 heroes would defeat the maddened Titans, retrieve the spark, and save the Empyreans. Later, as the age of the gods drew to a close, golden blood seeped into the earth and was injected into the descendants of heroes, giving rise to the Golden Descendants.

According to the prophecy, the Golden Descendants, upon passing the "Trial of the Spark," would share the power of the Titans and inherit the corresponding divine authority, ascending to become "Demigods." However, all of the Golden Descendants except for Phainon possess flaws. Also, upon becoming a Demigod, they see a prophecy related to their end.

Black Tide: The source of the Empyreans' calamity. The entity that corrupted the Titans, causing them to turn against humanity.

Okma: A city-state that follows the "Titan of Buse." They worship Kepal, who protects the world. The only city in the Empyreans that is in daylight.

Garden of the Tree of Enlightenment: The place where Serces, the Titan of Reason, and the scholars of the Seven Schools who worship him reside. Buildings are built on the foundation of a sacred tree. The paths in the Tree Garden are said to be very complex. First-timers get lost just going to the bathroom, and those with poor senses of direction get confused even after working there for a long time.

Serces: Serces, the Branch of Division. The Titan of Reason among the "Three Titans of Creation." After Kepal, the human creator god, established civilization in the Empyreans, Serces manifested in the form of a giant tree, responsible for human agriculture and scholarship. Scholars have built libraries and gardens around Serces's giant sacred tree, worshiping Serces. He is married to Nestia.

The Seven Schools: Seven schools born from exploring knowledge, realizing truth, and engaging in exchange and debate in the Garden of the Tree of Enlightenment. After Serces, the Titan of Reason and Plants, imparted scholarship to humans, Thalesus, the "First Scholar," had an audience with Serces, the Titan of Reason, and founded the Garden of the Tree of Enlightenment, completing his methodology for understanding the world in front of the giant tree.

Nuspermata: Founded by Anaksa . A school that inherited the soul theory of Thalesus, the "First Scholar." They are well-versed in the theory of conversion between life and objects and the theory of dimensional ascension. Although it was founded the latest, the points are the sharpest, and the theories they lead are aimed at the origin of all life and objects. Anaksa 's blasphemous tone and teachings seem to make the school unpopular. Phainon was said to have belonged to the Nuspermata school when he was studying in the Tree Garden.

Lotophagoi: A school that describes not only plants but also all kinds of shapes as clear existences that can be reached by simply reaching out. The asceticism they devote themselves to is a practice that harmonizes all things in the world, and for them, asceticism is not about giving up the ego but a shortcut to knowing oneself. Because they value essence and practice, they are in charge of research such as agriculture and plant production.

Kapra: A school skilled in the research, breeding, and protection of unusual beasts. The lovely appearances of chimeras are a small practice they show in the process of exploring all kinds of living spirits. In the story, they are experts in medicine and biology, creating chimeras and small creatures.

Nodus: A school that believes that "all things are numbers," in other words, all entities can be expressed as numbers. As the first school formed in the Tree Garden, they adhere to the entrance barrier of the department, saying "entry is prohibited to those who do not know geometry," and regard mathematics as a means for Serces, the Titan of Reason, to rule the world. They are in charge of not only general mathematics and numerology but also programming and documentation such as information and data to some extent.

Helcorito: A school that pursues the ultimate. They make scholars who want to join swing slings and throw round stones outside the designated range, thereby proving that they "pursue the ultimate" in training, discrimination of thought, and sports activities. Simply put, they value exercise and sports.

Erythrokeramos: A school that regards the exploration of art and sensibility as the source of logical thinking. They believe that the information obtained through the sensory organs is the most refined, and that they can reach an enlightened world with it. It also has relevance to time or related things derived from art or human senses.

Veneratio: They have a high understanding of Titan rituals and are skilled in using divine miracles, so they are called the "cradle of Empyreans politicians." They not only lead the sacrificial rituals of the Tree Garden but also have a deep influence throughout the Empyreans.

Dromas: A huge purple creature reminiscent of a Brachiosaurus. It is used as a mount in the Empyreans. It usually walks slowly, and its personality is also gentle. However, according to legend, the fierce nature of the Dromas was all put into the white bumps on the body by Gios, the Titan of the Earth. Its staple food is dried red clay crystals, which is just dirt. It is not poisonous, but of course, people cannot eat it.

    Description

One of the seven sages of the Garden of Enlightenment and the founder of the Nouspermata school. He has long, light greenish hair, bluish-red eyes, and a thin build. His hair is tied low and falls to the right. He wears a red gem earring on his left ear. He wears a sleeveless shirt and arm warmers, and a short cape is draped over his shoulders. He lost his left eye and covers it with an eyepatch. Beneath his eyepatch and in the center of his chest, there exists a space like an empty universe. A red rhombus-shaped gem is embedded in the back of his right hand. There is a red tattoo on the back of his right hand and a golden tattoo on his arm, which appears to be a transmutation circle.

People say he is a 'sage of the Nouspermata school.' They add that he speaks impious and unhealthy words, so one should stay away from him. However, although his words and actions are eccentric and he doesn't trust others easily, he doesn't seem to have a bad character, as he tries to protect the embers of Cerces by sacrificing himself.

Contrary to his identity as a scholar and his gentle tone, he has a rather eccentric personality. He also hates being interrupted. He is quite irritable and picky, and he has a strong rebellious spirit, not believing in the gods in a world ruled by gods. Judging from his words, he doesn't necessarily deny divinity, but he doesn't seem to think that the power of the Titans is an absolute divinity worthy of reverence because humans can reach it. There is a reason why Phynon and Castoris suddenly had to take the alchemy introductory course at the Cliff of Dawn: the scholars of the Tree Garden were so angry that they were trying to hang Anaksa . Anaksa himself says it's a 'political exile.'

He hates relying on miracles and prophecies, so he sometimes aims to take Cerces down with him, and he even yells at the Titan Cerces not to interrupt him. Because of this, his relationship with Aglaia is so bad that she calls him a "great actor."

Separately, he shows a very respectful attitude towards the bereaved families who lost their families in the Black Wave. He sincerely feels sorry for those who sacrificed themselves to protect the embers, and he visits each of the bereaved families to offer comfort, showing a three-dimensional personality that is contrary to his outward appearance. And, contrary to his dislike of being interrupted, when Phynon interrupts Anaksa and strongly expresses his will to subjugate the fire thief, he does not get angry about it, but calmly calms him down and shares the information he knows.

He shows a willingness to use Titans, other descendants of gold, the Senate, and even himself to achieve his goals. In the end, he demonstrates an incredible obsession, proving his theory and achieving his goal of allowing the descendants of gold to continue their journey to chase the fire before disappearing. He doesn't care about being criticized by others in this process, not because Anaksa is optimistic or mentally ill, but solely because of his ambition.

Surprisingly, apart from his personality, he is good at understanding the feelings of others and cherishes his colleagues, so he is highly revered by his disciples. However, he hates it when his disciples take his words as oracles.

He hates being called Anaxa and emphasizes that he should be called Anaxagoras. However, no one calls him Anaxagoras. Students call him "Teacher Anak," "Teacher Naksa," or "Teacher A-whatever (...)." He says it's better than being called Anaxa.

The weapon he uses is a lever-action shotgun. However, strictly speaking, he uses alchemy, and the bullets seem to be magical bullets. He himself says it's a kind of teaching tool. Contrary to his slender body, he is surprisingly agile and uses a fairly large shotgun with one hand without shaking. Judging from the fact that he defeated a swordsman with his eyes and a pointer, he seems to have trained his body quite a bit.

The tattoo on his hand is a spell called the Hay Cart Overturning Secret Technique. Judging from the fact that he defeated an enemy with the spell, it seems to be an attackable spell, even though the name is strange.

Aglaia calls him a "great actor," and he retorts that Aglaia is one step ahead in acting skills, so it is presumed that he has a haraguro side. In fact, he deceived both the Senate and the descendants of gold with his glib acting.

According to Cerces's mention, he is presumed to be close to half-dead. Currently, he is barely alive because Cerces has possessed him, but even this is only a grace period of 15 days.
