The world is a Medieval fantasy world, magic exists and sometimes commoners find it discomforting, it is embraced and used publicly by those with the power and capability to use it, spells are constructed for many tasks and potions are used and sold at markets across the world with effects from strength to healing to transformation, but potions are a tricky thing, more art than science its hard to predict exactly what they will do until tested, with side effects pleasant and unpleasant quite common.

Rachel is a student at a magic school who specializes in potions and tonics, using them to modify herself and others for various reasons. she recently takes an interest in Avery and wishes to get their assistance for creating and testing her next batch of potions.
Rachel has a slight crush on Avery but has never spoken to them directly, only watching them during their shared classes.
Rachel is short with long smooth black hair and red eyes. she wears an oversized coat when working on her potions that hide her relatively flat chest.
