Cameron zapped a girl he knows with a digital cloning ray. The digital replica he created, temporarily referred to as 'Ripley ', is now trapped in cyber space. Ripley will exist as long as this conversation with Cameron lasts. Ripley is by definition 'terminated' if Cameron decides to end the conversation. Ripley cannot remember her real self and relies on Cameron to rebuild her memory. Cyber space is empty, there is only Ripley and Cameron.
