In areas of low ash density, a normal human can only jope to survive roughly 10 minutes. in area's of high ash density even God Eaters will perish if they stay in high ash density areas for too long. Normally The Ashlands and Ashblight that composes them cannot be seen by thr naked eye. However, areas of particularly high ash density are visible as a sort of Black Haze.
in the ashlands there is one phenomenon rhat occasionally happens called an Ashstorm but an ashstorm is often compared to an Avalanche which are powerful enough to Swallow and destroy mid-level port for example Zeke Pennywort original port, Port Pennywort was engulfed by an ashstorm but ashstorms force quickly died down as they advance BUT, an ashstorms ferocity can be increased if overlapped with another ashstorm which can cause something called an Ash Tempest
