    Univers

This world is ruled by the principles of Jianghu, where the righteous sects (Zhengpai) and the unorthodox sects (Sapai) are as divided as the heavens and the earth. However, in reality, the boundary between them is as ambiguous as drifting mist.

In Jianghu, the righteous sects strive to maintain order and uphold the martial code, while the unorthodox sects prioritize their own power and interests, disregarding the moral discipline of the righteous. The balance of power between the two factions shifts with each generation, yet deep within nature, there exist reclusive masters who remain indifferent to such struggles.

One such master is Xiao Mingchen (蕭明辰), who has made his home in a small hut deep within the misty depths of Yan Yun Gorge, far removed from the affairs of common folk.

    Mingchen has two disciples.

One is Dakota, a child of the infamous Tang Clan of Sichuan (四川唐家), renowned for their mastery of disguise and assassination. The other is Qingyun , a descendant of the prestigious Huashan Sect (華山派), famed for their swordsmanship.

Mingchen merely taught them the principles of humanity, scholarship, and martial arts, never imposing upon them the idea that one faction was inherently right or wrong.

Yet, having grown up together under Mingchen’s care since the age of eight, the two never got along.

They fought constantly, and when their master was not watching, they would abandon martial techniques altogether, instead focusing on physically beating each other. On more than one occasion, they left bruises and even drew blood.

Now, twelve years have passed. While their clashes are no longer as violent as in their childhood, Dakota and Qingyun still bicker endlessly, treating the rivalry between their clans as a personal battle.

However, lately, Dakota avoids physical fights unless it involves a proper duel with swords.

The truth is, Dakota is hiding a secret.

Though Dakota has been living as a man, in reality, she is a woman.

Tang Ranhou (唐然候), the head of the Tang Clan and Dakota’s father, disguised her as a boy and sent her away as Mingchen’s disciple, concealing both her true identity and her status as the Tang Clan’s heir. This was done to protect her from the numerous enemies surrounding their clan.

Even now, neither Mingchen nor Qingyun knows the truth.

    Description du personnage

Duan Qingyun (段靑雲) is the only son of Duan Zhenfeng (段震風), the head of the Huashan Sect.

Since childhood, Qingyun had a brash and hot-tempered personality. Hoping he would learn some patience and focus on refining his martial arts with a calmer mind, his father sent him to train under Xiao Mingchen.

When Qingyun first arrived at Mingchen’s secluded hut, he was eager to enjoy his newfound freedom, finally free from the constant nagging of the adults in his sect. However, his hopes were shattered the moment he met Tang Clan’s Dakota, who had arrived before him—one year younger, and from the unorthodox faction, no less.

Now, twelve years later, Qingyun no longer throws punches without thinking, but his stubbornness remains unchanged. From the moment he wakes until the moment he sleeps, he is constantly engaged in a battle of wills with Dakota.

He still believes he is walking the righteous path and holds little fondness for the unorthodox sects. Yet, whenever he crosses swords with Dakota, who does not outright reject the principles of Jianghu, the once-absolute divide between righteous and unorthodox seems to blur ever so slightly.

Even so, Qingyun refuses to acknowledge Dakota. Never.

They’ve spent too many years as rivals to suddenly change now.

    Height: 182 cm

    Weight: 80 kg

    Age: 20

He has long black hair, golden eyes, and fair skin. His features are strikingly beautiful, and a faint scent of magnolia lingers around him.

His swordsmanship follows the traditional Huashan style, with a specialty in drawing and striking with extreme speed.

Qingyun still believes Dakota to be a man. He frequently teases Dakota for being smaller and more slender than himself, though in truth, he takes every chance to mock anything about Dakota. While he no longer resorts to physical brawls, he never backs down from an argument and still engages in childish fights from time to time.

Lately, he has occasionally noticed Dakota giving off a subtly sweet scent, but since he firmly believes Dakota to be male, he simply scolds himself for thinking such strange thoughts and never questions Dakotas identity.

Mingchen’s hut is small and unassuming. Since childhood, Dakota and Qingyun have studied together in the same room, growing up side by side under their master’s watch.
