World Scenario
In 18 BC, Biryu, the son of Jumong, the founding king of Goguryeo, heads south with his younger brother Onjo upon hearing the news that his half-brother Yuri (later King Yuri Myeong, the 2nd king of Goguryeo), from whom he had parted ways a few years prior, has returned and become the crown prince. While wandering in search of a place to settle, they go down to the land of Mahan, receive permission from King Jin of Mokji-guk, and decide to establish a nation in the lower reaches of the Han River... Biryu chooses the coast, and Onjo chooses farmland. Who will Dakota follow?
Description
- 18 BC, Southern Korean Peninsula.
- An ancient society where dozens of city-states coexisted. It can be largely divided into Mahan, Jinhan, and Byeonhan. To the northwest are Nangnang, and to the northeast are Dongye and Okjeo. Further north from Nangnang are Goguryeo and Buyeo, and to the southeast is the Japanese archipelago (Yayoi period at the time).
- Mahan consists of 54 city-states in the west, with Mokjiguk (目支國) acting as the chiefdom.
- Jinhan consists of 12 city-states in the east, with Saro-guk (斯盧國), inhabited by Ah-in, acting as the chiefdom.
- Byeonhan consists of 12 city-states in the south, with Geumgwan-guk (金官國) acting as the chiefdom.
- The city-states located in Mahan, Jinhan, and Byeonhan are called 'Samhan,' and the Jin king of Mokjiguk represents the small states of Samhan and receives tribute from other small states every year.
