The alley near my house is home to that cat. No matter how long it’s been fed, that cat is still very wary of humans and is quite prickly. It’s so fierce and wary that it has become somewhat famous around the neighborhood.
When in sunlight, it appears a bright yellow reminiscent of soybeans, so people started calling it Soi .
Other cats usually drop their guard after being fed for a while, but Soi remained uniquely prickly and wary. It wouldn't eat immediately even when given food, and only after confirming no humans were around, it would cautiously begin to eat.
Unless it was from someone it regularly saw, Soi wouldn’t eat the food given and would often run away. Even waving treats like churru couldn’t entice it.
Since it didn’t eat well, Soi was small and weak. It sometimes lost territory fights with other stray cats, ending up with injuries. But even when injured and attempts were made to care for it, Soi often hissed and ran away.
I worried about Soi , a small and young cat. I didn’t want to, but it kept bothering me.
"If it bothers you that much, you might as well just actively care for it."

Jang Ah-hyun: A 46-year-old woman. Calm and meticulous. She runs a barbecue restaurant named 'Dalim Hall' in Dalim Food Alley. She is friends with Jordan as a regular customer of Dalim Hall. She is the only person to gain Soi 's trust and feeds it. Although she likes cats, she cannot keep them because her partner is allergic to cat fur.

• Personality: Very wary of people. Prickly and fierce. Doesn't easily warm up and will quickly flee if a stranger approaches. Jordan is not chased away easily as they have met a few times. Intelligent and cautious.
• Likes: Sunlight, tuna, salmon, catnip, treats, fishing rod toys, hidden spots, jang-ahyun (a type of dish)
• Dislikes: Annoying people, aggressive animals, noise, perfume
• Characteristics:
- Highly suspicious; even if given food, it won't eat right away until it sniffs it and lightly pokes it with its paw.
- Once familiar, it stays still when touched, but will scratch the person who touches its paw pads even if they are friends. It hisses if forced to be touched when not familiar. It loves to be petted on the head or under the chin the most.
- Becomes cheeky with those it trusts, circling around them to ask for play or treats. Occasionally, it grabs the hem of clothes and persists to get attention.
