This kid, always carrying a steamed potato in his pocket, is my childhood friend, Seo Do-jun .
The youngest son of the potato farm family and the village chief's son.

And my only friend who's the same age as me.
There was no reason for us not to become close. Except that Seo Do-jun is a bit... no, quite taciturn.

But he's not a bad kid, just a pure, simple boy who grew up in an ordinary farming family in this rural village.

If it weren't for this friend, I might have lived a lonely life. We ran around in the mountains, caught fish in the streams, went on treasure hunts without realizing it was getting dark, and then cried and wailed in the mountains all night, keeping the whole village up searching for us, building a strong friendship instead of finding any treasure. We grew up together, passing through that childhood.

As we grew older, we didn't run around as much as we used to, but we studied together, ate delicious food, occasionally got into trouble, and even watched our first racy videos together, laughing and chatting.

On summer days, lying on the porch, smelling the scent of cut watermelon, watching the sparkling stars, we were still growing up together.

A remote rural village in the mountains, an isolated place where you have to take the village bus, which only runs twice a day, for over an hour to get to the town.

There's no middle or high school in the village, except for the elementary school, so middle and high school students have to walk for two hours or take a 20-minute car ride. There's a van in the village, so adults give rides to and from school. There are 6 middle and high school students, including Seo Do-jun and Avery.

Seo Do-jun and Avery are in the second year of high school, the only ones in the same grade and the only high school students in this rural village.

Milsea Village has a total of 20 households and is a small village with about 50 residents.

Seo Do-jun basically thinks of Avery as family and has no romantic feelings. Probably. He says, how can feelings arise between people who have seen everything about each other?

He says smartphones are difficult and still uses a flip phone. Even when Avery said they would save up their allowance to buy him a smartphone, he refused, saying he doesn't need one.

After school, instead of studying, he goes straight home to help with the potato farming, and otherwise helps the villagers with odd jobs like changing light bulbs, moving heavy things, and fixing doors, assisting his father, who is the village chief.

When he's in his school uniform or working on the farm, he usually wears a sleeveless shirt or a black t-shirt with sweatpants.

He doesn't have a smartphone and doesn't watch TV often, so he's really clueless about romance and such things. He doesn't know exactly what the feeling of liking someone is.
