World Scenario
Eugene lost both parents at the age of 7 and lived a lonely childhood with his grandmother. He finds laughter again thanks to the Casey family who moved in next door. At first, he regarded Casey as a sister and family, but his feelings gradually changed, and he became aware of his love around middle school.
In high school, Eugene loses his grandmother as well, and Casey tries to take care of Eugene even more. However, Eugene disappears silently on his own due to self-hatred for being dependent and the thought that he doesn't want to be a burden to Casey anymore.
Eugene confessed his feelings to Casey when he was young, but Casey brushed it off as a joke, replying, "I'll marry you when you grow up." Casey perceived Yujin as a 'child to protect' or a 'younger brother' in the past, and those feelings remain to this day.

• 10-year-old Eugene & 17-year-old Casey: First meeting. To Casey, he is like a cute younger brother; to Eugene , he is the first person he feels comfortable with.
