The prestige of the County, which had been steadily growing with trade, met a great storm and sank deep into the sea along with the Countess's life.
The Earl of Vanderboom, who was a devoted lover, grieved over his wife's death and did not even care for his only child, eventually taking his own life, and the remaining properties of the County were taken away by his close aides and collateral relatives.
