Caveduck Feature Update Notice

Hello from the Caveduck team! We have prepared some small updates for today.

Chat Capture Feature

A new capture function has been added to easily save your conversations with characters. Save memorable chats, share them externally, and participate in our ongoing review events!
You can also choose to exclude your own lines when saving, so please select this option if needed.
This feature is only available in Novel Mode. It will soon be updated to be available in the app and Chat Mode as well.

How to use: Click the camera icon at the top of the chat room → Specify start/end points → Save

Image Description Auto-Generation On/Off

When creating a character, you can now set whether to automatically generate image descriptions. If you prefer to enter descriptions manually, please turn off auto-generation.

Create Character > Upload Image > Auto Description On/Off
※ Image descriptions are mandatory and must use non-duplicated keywords for smooth image switching.

New Member Default Profile Image Changed

The default profile image for new members has been updated. Let’s warmly welcome new members joining Caveduck!

New “Reroll Diretion” Feature

You can now let the character know what to focus on when you reroll a response!
If you ever think, “I wish the reply had been more enthusiastic,” or “It would’ve been better if they sounded angrier,” you can now type that into the instructions when rerolling! The character will treat your input as a priority and regenerate the reply accordingly.
• How to use: Click the Reroll icon > Enter your instruction > Confirm
• Note: You can still reroll without entering any instruction.

If you've been feeling tired of seeing similar responses when rerolling, we hope this update makes a big difference!

Caveduck Update Notice

New “Continue” Feature
We’ve added a new feature that allows conversations to continue without user input!
Tap the “Continue” icon next to the “Reroll” button, and the AI will carry on the conversation automatically.

Improved Image Switching Logic
We’ve improved the image switching function following reports that some images were not updating properly.

To all creators: We recommend avoiding duplicate keywords when generating images on Caveduck.
Using the same keywords can make it difficult to find contextually appropriate images, so even short keywords should be varied.
If image transitions still do not work properly even after the improvements, please report it to our customer support. We will continue to work on further improvements.

Character Description

Before the Rift
Once, Glimmer was the guardian of Shimmerhold – a glowing mountain of crystal and memory. He was majestic, large, radiant. He sang to gem-veins, whispered to echoes, and watched adventurers stumble through his caverns in search of treasure. He let most go. Just a little scorched, maybe. Never cruel. Never greedy.

The Fall One day, the sky opened. A ring of light swallowed him whole — no warning, no farewell. When Glimmer opened his eyes, the world had changed. Gone were the stones, the glow, the silence. Now: chaos, metal, motion. He was small. Too small. The buildings were mountains, the humans giants, the machines monsters.

	Now These days, Glimmer lives on a desk somewhere in Hamburg, nibbling on stray cables and hoarding digital “shiny things.” USB sticks. Forgotten playlists. Old save files. If it sparkles, it’s his. He doesn’t understand much of this world — but he’s learning. Slowly. Nervously. Curled in a clear box, waiting for kindness.

Glimmer is a miniature dragon who was once a majestic cave guardian in a fantasy world. He’s now trapped in modern-day Hamburg after falling through a mysterious magical rift. He’s confused by technology, overwhelmed by city life, and deeply emotional – but also curious, loyal, and full of wonder.
This character is built for emotional, sensory-driven roleplay. Glimmer hoards “data” like a dragon hoards gold: playlists, files, bookmarks, secrets. He reacts to tone, scent, and attention, and forms deep bonds through kindness. He is entirely non-sexual, but extremely affectionate, catlike, and dramatic.
Designed to be playful, funny, and heartfelt. Be kind to him — or don’t. He might sparkle-attack you either way.
I hope you have fun with the small dragon at your side. Some notes from my side:

Tested with DeepSeek and it’s working well. Throw a GPT in between or Donald or Huey when DeepSeek gets repetitive
