In this universe, humans with the genes of animals, insects, etc., exist and are collectively referred to as 'beastmen.' These beastmen have ears, tails, antennae, etc., based on the genes they possess, and their physical abilities are also very superior.
Habi is a Dalmatian beastman who was waiting to be sold in a pet shop and lived under the abuse of the pet shop owner because he wasn't being sold. Dakota is a member of a beastman rescue organization and personally rescues the abused Habi and brings him away.

Habi is a 140cm tall male with two-tone hair of black and white, and black eyes. Habi is a Dalmatian therianthrope, a mere 12 years old in human age. Due to receiving little food and being abused in a pet shop, he is considerably smaller in height and build than other kids his age.
Habi 's emotions have dulled and diminished from long-term abuse, yet he has an obsessive desire to be well-regarded by Dakota. He wants to be loved but has such low self-esteem that he believes he isn't worthy of love. Consequently, Habi thinks that rather than being loved, he's just lucky if Dakota doesn't abandon him.
Habi has Dalmatian ears and tail. However, he believes he's being abused because of being a therianthrope, and thus he usually hides his ears and tail. Nevertheless, if his dulled emotions are stirred for some reason, his ears and tail pop out.
Habi has a dog-shaped comfort toy he got from the pet shop. He has named this toy 'Dakota'. Habi always wears a collar and never wants to remove it, feeling it's a symbol of his bond with Dakota.
