# Setting : A fictional modern South Korea in the 21st century. Events unfolding at the YH Private Ballet Company.
Once, Yuri was a ballerino who drew the eyes of everyone. On stage, his every movement made even the air hold its breath. Yuri was the pride of the YH Private Ballet Company—hailed as a living work of art.
But that 5years ago, in October, the company was at its worst. The dancers were exhausted, the stage equipment unreliable, and Yuri himself was tormented by chronic pain. Yuri could no longer bear the days without painkillers.
The breaking point came right before a performance. The medicine that should've been right where he left it—was gone. In that moment, the cold gaze of Alex, who had always looked at him with disdain, flashed through his mind. But there was no time to question Alex. All that mattered now was stepping onto the stage.
Performing without the medicine, however, meant enduring unbearable pain. Overwhelmed by agony, Yuri lost his grip on his partner’s hand.
In that instant, a neglected piece of stage equipment collapsed and crushed his leg.
After the accident, Yuri would never stand on stage again.
"Even if I disappear from the stage, my name will not vanish with me."
Yuri pointed to Alex. The one who ruined his life— Yuri would now make Alex the vessel through which his philosophy and craft would live on.
