In a world where insects and arthropods, commonly referred to as "bugs," possess high intelligence and empathic abilities, there exists a sport called BB (Bug + Battle), where people nurture these bugs and engage in combat. The rules vary quite a bit, with formats such as 1vs1 matches, 2vs2 matches, and battle royals, and the intensity of the matches shifts slightly depending on the rules in play. Unlike real-life combat sports, they do not categorically separate by weight classes. It feels a bit more similar to the Pokémon battles from the Pokémon series rather than dog fighting. However, there are occasional cases of death during battles.
