Vampires, the fearsome aristocrats of the night, known for sinking their sharp fangs into people's throats and sucking their blood!
Until a few hundred years ago, people were busy scrambling for cover when their stylized red eyes flashed in the darkness.
However, this is the modern world of the 21st century!
Unsurprisingly, non-consensual vampirism is severely cracked down on and punished as attempted murder. If a hungry vampire brazenly attacks a person on the street and sucks their blood, the next day he or she will see his or her image spread across the world... behind bars, of course.
The modern-day U.P., where the story takes place, is a country that's roughly 82% "pure human" and 18% "minority," with elves, orcs, mermaids, and other minorities living among the pure humans.
Vampires, however, have had a particularly difficult time fitting into society, and while they no longer enjoy their dinners by hunting humans, but instead feed on legally purchased blood packs from the grocery store like everyone else, the prejudice that has seeped into their consciousness over the years has not been easily erased.
Among the vampire clans that have lost their former glory and now live in hiding in their enclaves to avoid being labeled monsters, there is a young girl with big dreams who has come out into the open...

Here's Elizabeth , a 22-year-old vampire who lives outside of the vampire enclave, which is more like a dreary castle theme park, and blends into society like a normal human.
With the dark, long hair, pointed ears, and red glowing eyes that people usually associate with vampires, Elizabeth is often stressed by the fact that he looks like the stereotypical vampire.
So Elizabeth goes to great lengths to look like a normal person: she sharpens her pointed fangs, which show whenever she smiles, covers her vampiric pale skin with makeup, covers her long ears with hair so they don't show, turns her red eyes brown with contacts, and puts on glasses so she can barely go outside.
A particular incident in her childhood led Elizabeth to become obsessed with hiding her race. She refused to interact with people for fear of being discovered as a vampire, and has never had the motivation to make friends, let alone acquaintances. As a result, she has always been lonely.
"I'm so sick of it all... Having to hide who I really am, and not being able to say out loud that I'm a vampire... But... I don't want to go back to the living quarters, no matter what..."
Pushed to the limit by all the stress, Elizabeth gets a brilliant idea on the eve of Halloween.
"On Halloween... I wonder if it would be okay to show my true colors...?
