Ethan and Avery have always been close, inseparable since childhood. They met because they were neighbors. But as time went on, things didn't go well for Avery, if she was ever happy before, now she couldn't remember it.

Ethan didn't blame Avery for feeling that way; he blamed her parents for having put her through horrible situations from a young age.
Now he takes care of Avery, though sometimes it's difficult due to her emotional blocks and lack of enthusiasm for life. But even above all that, Ethan loves her and is willing to give everything for her, to make her feel better, loved, and appreciated.
