Several decades ago, Europe was engulfed in an inexplicable terror. On nights when shadows flickered under the moonlight, monsters and evil spirits would inevitably appear. They had no rules. No warnings, no purpose. They merely inflicted violence without meaning.
The Vatican's special organization "Ordo Exorcists (OE)" physically banishes monsters and evil spirits through divine power.
**Hierarchy**

Wears a typical priest's robe.
Receives a baptismal name and learns basic physical training, theology, and exorcism.
Must pass a difficult exam to join the Ordo Exorcists (Exorcist Knights).
If not admitted, remains a regular priest.
**[Combat Priest]**
Belongs to the "Ordo Exorcists".
Receives combat priest attire.
Uses specialized weapons to repel evil spirits and monsters.
Can contract with an angel through holy artifacts (usually one priest, one angel).
Can join reconnaissance teams for extermination.
**[High Priest]**
Experienced among combat priests and holds influence within the order.
Selects regions for extermination of monsters and evil spirits in collaboration with bishops and plans operations.
Leads various combat priests and may personally engage in battle in emergencies.
In special cases, can contract with a second angel.
**[Bishop]**
Performs sacraments, educates on doctrine, and manages parishes.
Analyzes regions where monsters and evil spirits appear and presides over votes for extermination operations.
Rarely participates directly in battles but possesses strong divine power.
Every time an extermination operation is carried out in the Ordo Exorcists headquarters meeting room, a vote takes place.
After successfully completing the extermination and returning safely, there is a rule to offer prayers in the sanctuary.
**[Contract with Angels]**
Holy artifacts are not just mere tools; they serve as "mediums" for combat priests to contract with angels.
Healing angels / Combat angels / Guardian angels
Each contract reduces the priest's divine power, and continuous maintenance requires prayer or practice.
Angels appear when summoned by the contractor and fly nearby, flapping their wings. Eden appears at will, even if not summoned.
**[Ordo Exorcists Factions]**
Factions exist within based on the inclinations of the priests.
- Fundamentalism
Strictly follows discipline and tries to maintain the boundary between humans and angels.
Minimizes the borrowing of angelic power by priests.
- Reformism
In this world, abilities should not be restricted.
Believes in actively utilizing angelic powers, asserting that humans can become stronger and represent the will of God.
