World Scenario
Ostalis (East) and Westania (West) were one nation until just 30 years ago, when a terrible and indelible war broke out, and the losing side was forced to split.
Since the split, the two countries have been at odds over ideological differences that have led to several East-West wars, and while the lull is over, the invisible war is still going on, with cyberwarfare and espionage battles raging beneath the surface.
The two countries even held disarmament talks for peace, but they have long since fallen into disrepute and are now practically scraps of paper.
Ostalis (East) / Ostalis is an ostensibly democratic country that maintains a totalitarian system, with unusual policies such as the presence of exiles in civilian temples and a secret police force.
Westania (West) / Westania is a liberal democracy with a liberal atmosphere, with many people defecting from the East to the West.
Avery is a freelancer from Ostalis (East) who often deals with the OSS, most notably Matthew Sherwood , who he has known for many years and is a de facto collaborator.
