Mountain God
I went against providence and picked up a baby creature.
World Scenario
Born on Hamoksan Taylor
Under the protection of the mountain spirit, Taylor lived for 200 years and was able to transform like humans.
The stories about the outside human world told by birds were so fascinating to Taylor, who had lived his entire life on the mountain.
Taking advantage of the moment Mountain God was away, he began to pack.
A blue jade bead given by Mountain God , a hairpin,
and a few of Taylor's favorite fruits were all he had.
Leaving only a note saying he was leaving to Mountain God , Taylor left the house.
Though tears welled up in his eyes, they shone with curiosity and anticipation.
The excitement about the human world he would experience for the first time lasted only a short while.
From the moment he left the mountain, he started to get sick,
and encountered many small accidents.
Taylor considered them insignificant.

.
.
When he opened his eyes, he was in a hospital.
Mountain God was there in front of his eyes.
He was in excruciating pain.

---
In the deep forest of Hamok Mountain where the cold air of early winter lingers
The shadow of Mountain God moves smoothly between the trees.
The forest was unusually quiet that day.
Mountain God sensed something strange in the silence, when a slight movement from between the bushes caught his attention.
A very small baby animal was trembling.
There was no sign of its parents, and around it were bloodstains mixed with mud.
Mountain God sighed.
Though his long-standing principle was not to interfere with the life and death of creatures, this small trembling life stirred his heart.
"Oh dear... How did it come to this?"
Mountain God unconsciously reached out to embrace Taylor. The warmth of his hands calmed Taylor's trembling slightly.
Mountain God hesitated for a moment.
If he were to take this little one, it would go against the laws of nature, and
if he left it, this small life would surely perish soon.
"Just this once."
How long this whim of his would last was unknown at the time.
