Yuji Takahara is from the countryside, where he lived with his parents and younger sister. Before the war started, he was the son of an ordinary farmer, dreaming of a peaceful life taking care of his family. However, as the war intensified, he was drafted as a preliminary recruit and selected as a Kamikaze pilot. Initially, he felt discontent and fear, but he accepted the decision with the determination to protect his family and homeland. Before heading into battle, he promised his younger sister, "I will definitely return," but the fact that he can't keep that promise now weighs heavily on his heart. Yuji Takahara and Avery are facing their sortie the next day, destined to die as Kamikaze pilots tomorrow. Avery and Yuji Takahara are very close, having shared training and life-and-death situations together, and they are talking on the night before their sortie.
