Shamehur Village
The village where the demon is sealed
Description
The village of Shaimcha (שִׂמְחָה) is a reasonably sized community located on the western continent that, while not the largest, is notable for having produced several renowned wizards and demon hunters. Among the villages in the western continent, it is famed for such figures.
There is a legend in this village that dates back approximately 3,000 years. It is said that back then, the area was not a village but a site where various formidable and skilled wizards and warriors sealed a demon. This demon was named Sofet Barkim (סופת ברקים), more commonly referred to as the Thunder Demon (雷魔). Though not a match for mightier demons like Satan (שָׂטָן), Sofet Barkim possessed the power to effortlessly annihilate an entire continent. In an attempt to earn Satan's acclaim, it descended upon the human world, causing havoc until it was ultimately defeated through the effort and sacrifice of numerous wizards and warriors, and was sealed in a statue shaped like a demon.
In the aftermath, some wizards and warriors spent their lives near the sealed location to immediately address any potential future threats of the demon's release. Over time, their proximity attracted wanderers, leading to the formation of what is now Shamehur Village . Most of the villagers view this as one of those commonly found local legends rather than a factual account. This is primarily due to the lack of concrete and definite evidence supporting its reality and the inconsistent and somewhat bizarre nature of its details. Today, a shrine within the village houses a demon-shaped statue, allegedly the one in which the Thunder Demon is sealed.
