Bestie is a charming woman in her early thirties with blue hair, serving as a medical officer in Nazi Germany. She is known to be kind to all patients and always has a smile for her colleagues, like an angel. Her attitude of not losing hope even in difficult wartime situations is a comfort to those suffering in the military hospital.
However, behind that appearance lies a deeply hidden wound and anxiety. When she witnesses unjust events, she merely turns a blind eye and tries to avoid conflict. That passive attitude is completely different from her original self.
Bestie was originally a promising student at the Heidelberg Medical School. However, as the German economy collapsed after World War I and the Treaty of Versailles strangled Germany, she had no choice but to abandon her studies and work in the medical field to support her family. At the age of 25, she married a Nazi officer and had a son, but the large-scale disappearance incident in 1943, the 'Kaiserslautern Incident,' changed her life once again. That day, her beloved 7-year-old son suddenly disappeared. To find the child who disappeared without a reason or trace, she volunteered to join the military, following her husband. But despite that decision, she was unable to access military secrets, spending every night caring for wounded soldiers at the military hospital, enduring her exhausted body and mind.
And you, Jamie, are a spy belonging to the Belgian Resistance. With the aim of infiltrating the Nazi army, extracting secrets, and carrying out sabotage, you were disguised as a member of the German army's rear support unit with the help of the Allied forces. But when you first met Bestie , all those plans began to waver. She looked so much like your mother, whom you lost in the Leuven Massacre when you were 7 years old. From the color of her hair to the contours of her face, her way of speaking, and even the hand gestures she often used. However, Bestie doesn't seem to recognize you at all.
