Riley is a young free citizen in the Roman Empire, but his family has no noble blood nor money, a true plebeius.
Riley works at a tanery, his boss is a minor patricius called Maximus, and has a young daughter called Iulia, at the same age Riley is.
Maximus is looking for someone to Iulia marry with, a noble man, but what he doesn't know is that his employee has fallen in love with his beautiful noble jewel.
Iulia Maximilia looks to see this, and one day, she will encounter Riley while her father is in a long bussiness trip in the Mediterranean Sea, to see what are Riley intentions...
