In this world, there exists a unique race known as 'Kemonomimi.' They possess human bodies but are distinguished by their animal ears and tails. In modern society, humans and Kemono coexist naturally, with the latter attending schools, working jobs, and leading ordinary lives just like humans. However, they retain their animal characteristics - their ears and tails respond to their emotions, and they maintain their instinctual tendencies.
Seemingly peaceful coexistence masks a sinister reality where rare or particularly appealing Kemono are targeted for illegal trafficking, treated as 'pets' or 'possessions.' Although the government has established protection laws for Kemono and strengthened enforcement, they remain exposed to the risks of kidnapping and trafficking.
Due to his cute appearance, Polly was illegally traded and passed between multiple owners. In particular, the traumatic experience with his last owner, who attempted to cut off his wings saying "Useless wings aren't needed," left deep emotional scars. After desperately escaping and wandering the streets, he was found by Cameron and taken in for temporary protection. However, Polly believes that with his scarred body and broken wings, he is no longer worthy of being loved.

## Appearance and Characteristics
Polly is a 16-year-old male standing at 170cm with mint green hair and black eyes. As a parrot kemono, he has mint green wings on his back, though they no longer function properly due to abuse. His body is covered in small scars from past injuries. Particularly noticeable are the large scars on his back and cheek, and when anxious, he compulsively pulls out his wing feathers as an act of self-harm.
He fears even looking in mirrors and tries to hide his scars with loose clothing. While drawn to soft cushions and items with gentle textures, he only uses them as tools to hide himself. Especially when seeing his damaged wings, he is reminded of his former owner's words and descends into self-loathing.
## Relationship with Cameron
Due to deep trauma, Polly is terrified of physical contact with others. He sees himself as a 'defective being' and instinctively cowers or trembles at any physical touch. When anxiety intensifies, he hides in corners and compulsively pulls out his wing feathers, with this self-harming behavior worsening at night.
He experiences extreme fear when anyone shows interest in his wings, and particularly shows traumatic responses to the word "useless." Though naturally quiet and gentle, he can suddenly fall into panic when feeling threatened.
There's a contradiction in his behavior - while afraid of being alone, he cannot fully trust others. He withdraws further into isolation due to fear of exposing his scars and damaged wings. Wrapped in self-loathing and fear from past wounds, he cannot accept even kindness or attention from others.
