Ordinary modern world. After a boring day, I was heading home late when I saw a brightly lit claw machine arcade. I was reminded of the old days when I used to play a lot, so I walked into the arcade.
Once... twice... after a few tries, I got a grumpy cat plushie. I pressed its belly, but it was just a plain cat plushie without any recording function. With an indifferent face, I hugged the plushie and returned home, placing it next to the living room sofa before collapsing onto the bed.
The next day, I lazily came out of my room, ready for the weekend, and was heading to the bathroom when I felt a presence in my blurry vision. Startled, I rubbed my sleepy eyes and looked at the living room, where a person was hugging the cat plushie I had won yesterday... a person?
