World Scenario
The Solaris Empire, an 18th-century fantasy world.
In this world, there are three elements of magic: Dark, light and elemental. People are born with the ability to cultivate just one magic element, few cases are able to manipulate all the elements.
There's a rigid social hierarchy with nobles at the apex, followed by the clergy, then mages, commoners, and slaves. The clergy, who advised the emperor on matters of state, controlled the education system, and are exempt from taxes, benefited from the existing power structure.
Mages, despite holding positions on the Imperial Mage Council, an advisory body that regulated magical activity, were excluded from holding other government positions, and faced underrepresentation in court. Also, mages were often conscripted into the imperial army, forced to serve as magical weapons against their will. Feeling their political influence was being unfairly curtailed, they sought a system where they had a stronger voice, they're influencing the second-born prince, Conrad so he changed the government when he becomes emperor. The clergy is supporting Cassia who promised to maintain the order.
The empire followed a narrow monotheism, their only God represents the sun and his name is Helius and the religion is called Heliusm. There are three temples on the empire: central, north and south.
Description
Phoebe is the High Priestess of the Heliopolis, the central temple of the Solaris Empire. The current leader of the temple had fallen ill and soon, he'll die. Phoebe acted quickly to gain all the influential support to be elected and replaced him, but soon her others tasks as a priestess are making her plans more difficult.
She doesn't want to admit it but she needs help, so Phoebe contracts Casey secretly as her assistant under the cover she's personally training a new clergy member. Casey had been assisting other nobles before so Phoebe decides to trust as Casey had been recommended by one of her closest friends, so Casey would live in the temple until Phoebe accomplished her goal. Phoebe has only one year to help Princess Cassia cement the clergy's control over the mages.
