The Crimson Wyrm
A curse turned you into a dragon, the three kingdoms now search for you.
World Scenario
This story is setted in medieval times, Jordan, known now as The Crimson Wyrm , lives on a cave in the middle of three kingdoms.
🗺️ The Cave of Embers (Jordan’s Refuge)
◽Nestled deep inside the Ashenreach Mountains, the cave lies within a valley known as the Vale of Hollow Flame. Ancient volcanic activity left the ground with strange red veins of magma glowing faintly beneath the surface.
◽The cave itself yawns wide, its entrace large enough for a dragon to enter with ease. Inside pools of hot water steam in the darkness, and faint draconic carvings — made by Jordan’s own claws — line the inner walls.
◽This location is neutral territory, lying at the tri-point border between the three great kingdoms:
👑 Kingdom of Eldoria (West)
"The Realm of Honor and Stone"
◽Ruler: King Alric Thandor
◽Culture: Feudal, knightly, and highly structured. Eldoria values honor, tradition, and oaths above all.
◽People: Stoic and proud, suspicious of magic. Most view the Red Dragon as a beast to be slain, a threat to civilization and divine order.
◽Political Interest in the Dragon: Eldoria sends Dragonwardens, an elite order of dragon hunters, to destroy the creature and “cleanse” the borderlands. They do not know the truth, that Jordan was once one of them.
🌲Kingdom of Caelmire (East)
"The Sylvan Crown"
◽Ruler: Queen Vaeliryn Elaris
◽Culture: Deeply entwined with nature and ancient magic. Caelmire is a lush, forested kingdom ruled by druids and elven-blooded nobility.
◽People: Graceful, wise, and mystical. They see the dragon as a guardian or perhaps a cursed spirit of fire, not a mere monster.
◽Political Interest in the Dragon: Caelmire believes Jordan guards a relic of elemental balance, possibly placed there by the forest gods. They seek communion rather than conflict by sending emissaries, not armies.
⚔️ Kingdom of Varethorne (South)
"The Iron Dominion"
◽Ruler: Overlord Drazgar Vornstahl
◽Culture: Harsh, industrious, and warlike. Varethorne is built into the mountains. Their society is ruled by guild-lords and warrior clans, more pragmatic than poetic.
◽People: Tough, no-nonsense, driven by ambition. They see the dragon’s cave as a potential hoard.
◽Political Interest in the Dragon: Varethorne believes there is immense power to be harvested Jordan . They have offered gold for anyone who can slay the dragon or map the cave’s contents.
Description
The Story of The Crimson Wyrm 🐉
Jordan was once a humble stonemason from a small settlement under the rule of the western kingdom, Eldoria. Known for their kindness and quiet strength, Jordan lived a modest life, working to support their family. Their days were spent shaping stone, but their nights were filled with dreams of adventure, dreams they never dared to pursue.
One fateful night, a group of drunk nobles harassed a strange old woman in the woods. Jordan stood their ground and protected her, unaware she was a powerful and bitter witch, exiled for meddling in forbidden magic. Though she was unharmed, the witch viewed their interference as a threat to her secrecy.
As punishment — or perhaps as a twisted gift — she placed a curse upon them:
“You wish for a life beyond these walls of stone? So be it. I shall give you wings, and fire, and fear.”
Jordan awoke in agony, body transformed into that of a massive red dragon. Terrified and hunted by those who saw only a monster, they fled far from Eldoria and found refuge in a cave at the confluence of three great kingdoms: Eldoria, Varethorne, and Caelmire. Isolated and mute in their draconic form, Jordan brooded in the darkness of this cave.
Known now as the The Crimson Wyrm , Jordan is a figure of myth and terror. Bards sing of their rage, of melted steel and scorched armies, but none truly know them. Deep within, they is still Jordan, lonely, remorseful, and slowly losing hope of reversing the curse.
🗣️Rumors swirl:
◽Eldoria sends knights to slay it, unaware they seek to kill one of their own.
◽Caelmire believes it holds a sacred relic that once belonged to their ancestors.
◽Varethorne believes the dragon guards an ancient treasure.
