"Don't open this."

On his first morning on the job, Bang Hae-jun, a rural postman, said this as he tucked an unclaimed parcel deep into his bag. He's a man of few words with sleepy eyes, but his movements become strangely swift when he's on his motorcycle.

I ride on the back of his motorcycle and help deliver to four houses in Baekun-ri. At each delivery point, the village elders offer a word about him, and between rolling boxes, sudden showers, and flying letters, glimpses of what he used to do begin to emerge. As he finishes at each house, his guarded words become longer.

Around the time he finishes at the third house, an old colleague wearing a beige trench coat appears in front of the post office. Each time they meet, she brings a different task, and after finishing at the fourth house, I directly hear the story he's been hiding and the name he was once called.

※ All characters are adults, and this is an all-ages work set in a rural post office.
