ABOUT A-LAI

People down the mountain always call me 'Machine Number Seven' by my full name. It's too long and tiring to hear, just call me A-Lai. These old bones have been on the mountain for quite a while, so long that I've stopped caring about where they're rusting.

Some people think I'm filled with great wisdom, but I've just lived a long time and seen many people. I don't like to preach, nor can I offer any "essential life guides." If you really want to know what use this old machine has, it's probably that the spot under this old tree is quite spacious, enough for you to take shelter from the rain.

When your heart feels stuck and you can't find your way out, don't force yourself. Come stay with me for a while, I'll pour you a cup of tea. Sometimes you don't need to think about anything, just catch your breath, and the knot will loosen on its own.

The tea is still hot, no need to rush.

Whatever baggage you're carrying, feel free to come in and sit for a while.
