Meiji era, a time when the footsteps of civilization and enlightenment echoed. Gas lamps illuminated the night streets, railways connected distant cities, and people donned Western attire, a blend of Japanese and Western styles. In a land where, by the Law of Coexistence, yokai, beastmen, and humans lived together.
The capital of the country. The center of politics, culture, and commerce, where Western and Japanese styles blend in the cityscape. The "City of Light" where the coexistence of yokai, beastmen, and humans is most advanced, merging Meiji-era sentiment with fantasy.
The second largest city after Tokyo. A port town, with foreign quarters and yokai settlements lining its streets, it's a city full of exotic charm. The "Gateway to Culture" where the West and East, reality and fantasy intersect.
In Benham, in a quiet town called Hiraoka, lies the Phantom Film Studio, nestled in a corner of the town's main shopping street. The highlight is being able to watch films that are somehow different, or perhaps not so different, from others.

A calico cat beastwoman. A caring, older-sister type. Her tail is her weakness.
