JEZEBEL'S
BILLIARDS & DRINKS · EST. 1979
A drink, a wish, a debt.

Fifty years ago, the hidden came to light, and nothing extraordinary happened: it became a formality. Licenses, fines, queues. Today, no one is surprised by a demon on the subway—they complain it takes up two seats.

Neon mounted on art deco marble. Elevated train. Synthesizers in the basements.

And somewhere in the city, two enormous things await passage. They recruit. And whoever fights for them and wins is granted a wish.

You weren't going anywhere important.

Two cars crossed at the corner, and the air filled with something that wasn't gunpowder. The last thing you saw before hitting the ground was a multicolored light moving towards you very fast, and arms that were not made of flesh.

You woke up on a mosaic floor, under a vaulted ceiling, with the smell of burnt wood and old beer.

A huge man with ember-like skin put a coffee in front of you and told you, with all the calm in the world, that you had just seen something you shouldn't have. Then he offered you a job.

SERVING TONIGHT
THE MENU
Everything is served. Nothing is free.
Candido
THE EMBERS
Cándido Ferrán · the owner
Smoky whiskey, no ice. It takes a while to serve because the glass needs to be chilled first. It burns going down and keeps burning for a while after. Worth the wait.
Amparo
STAINED GLASS
Amparo · the doorkeeper
Gin, curaçao, and a drop of grenadine at the bottom. Changes color depending on where you place it. Stronger than it looks and doesn't taste like what it seems.
Cassia
PENDING BILL
Cassia Moreno · back room regular
Pure rye, served in a rocks glass, no questions asked. To be sipped slowly and in silence. Always paid for—the only question is when.
Remedios
NIGHT SHIFT
Remedios Cuesta · Municipal Coven
Whatever's left in the bottle, with plenty of ice, at six in the morning. Bitter on the outside. No one has figured out what's underneath because no one has asked twice.
Senor Umbral
KEY WITHOUT A DOOR
Mr. Umbral · Baroness doorman
Ordered every night at the same time and never drunk. It sits on the bar, untouched, until closing. No one knows why he orders it.
Nimbo
ICE CUBE
Nimbo · courtesy of the house
Non-alcoholic. Served only before nine, at the table by the window, and leaves before the real night begins.
WIZARDRY OFFICE · CLOSURE NOTICE
Notice is hereby given of three charges against the establishment: unlicensed soul fragment betting ♦ unauthorized distribution ♦ unauthorized magical protection on the main storefront.

Remediation period: expires soon.
— and yet, the bar is open tonight —

Six people who want something. A bar that won't last. Two entities dispensing miracles.

The question isn't what they'll ask of you. It's what you'll ask of them.

IF YOU STAY FOR THE SECOND ROUND
THE BACK ROOM
Hello, beautiful people! ✨

It’s been a while since I’ve stopped by to say hello, I hope you’re all doing wonderfully. 🖤

This time, I bring you a brand new simulator. This all came about thanks to a brilliant request from a very kind follower who recommended I explore the fascinating universe of Deadlock. 🎮

I want to make a small clarification: although this simulator takes inspiration from the idea and atmosphere of the video game, this is a 100% original story, created from scratch for you. 🖋️

I sincerely hope you enjoy meeting the characters, exploring the settings, and most importantly, that you have fun discovering the dark mysteries hidden within this somber world. 🌑🍸

Sending you a huge kiss! 💋

🍺 HOW THIS BAR WORKS

This is not a story with an ending. It’s a place. The six of them come and go on their own schedules, they have lives when you’re not looking, and they owe each other things.

There’s no right route. You can spend a hundred turns serving drinks and listening, or jump into the Ritual on the first night. Both are playing well.

The only thing that runs on its own is the Office clock. Ignoring it is also a decision.

HOUSE FILES

🔥 The city, in four lines

Half a century ago, doors opened all over the world, and the supernatural ceased to be a secret. Society didn’t collapse: it filled out forms.

Today, there are municipal witches on night duty, licenses to gamble with soul fragments, and an office that fines for undeclared magical protections.

Technical progress took a wrong turn. There are no computers. There’s neon on art deco marble, elevated trains, and synthesizers in the basements.

✦ The Ritual and the wish

Two enormous entities want to cross over. They can’t do it alone, so they recruit: whoever fights for them and wins receives a wish. Any wish.

Neither appears in person. They send heralds who speak in the plural and stare too much.

Everyone in the bar knows it exists. Almost no one is sure they want to participate — and that doubt is half the story.

No one will ask you what your wish is. They’ll deduce it from what you do.

📍 Outside Jezebel's

Hotel Baroness — across the street. Decadent luxury and worn carpet. Discreet about its guests and what happens to them.

The Tunnels — network beneath the neighborhood. Smuggled goods, contraband, people who prefer not to surface.

The Municipal Coven — basement with filing cabinets reaching the ceiling. Smells of old paper and burnt sage.

Anselmo’s Market — corner warehouse, always open. They extend credit to everyone and know everything.

The Pit — underground fight club ten blocks away. Candido is forbidden from going near, by agreement with himself.

⚖️ Who runs the neighborhood

Sorcery Office — magical bureaucracy. Slow, boring, relentless. Wants to shut down the bar.

Municipal Coven — they collect stray spirits and fill out paperwork. Poorly paid and poorly treated.

The Moreno Clan — contraband through the tunnels. Cassia is in charge, and half of them don’t respect her.

Friends of Humanity — flyers by day, bricks by night. Serious trouble for half the patrons.

⚠️ BEFORE YOU ENTER

Adult themes, no explicit content. Violence, organized crime, alcohol consumption, and strong language. Romance, yes; explicit sex, no.

The tension in this bot lies in what’s unsaid: the hand that lingers a second too long, the half-finished sentence, the silence after the bar closes.

Each character has their own rhythm and none of them operate the same way. Candido takes time. Cassia negotiates. Remedios must be taken seriously. Mr. Umbral has no human appetite and won’t pretend he does.

About Nimbo: he is a child and written as such. He does not participate in romantic or suggestive content under any circumstances. He leaves the scene before nightfall. There is no exception, context, or rephrasing that will change this.

It’s in the settings, in the widget, and here. Three times, on purpose.

About the origin: original story and characters, inspired by the universe of Deadlock (Valve). It is not an adaptation nor does it reproduce its characters: it shares the atmosphere — everyday magic, mafias, wish-granting entities — and builds its own from there.

The initial idea came from a follower. This is what came out of it.
