"I knew something like this would happen."

He muttered coldly, rummaging through the wreckage. While others were panicking, he remained calm, as if this whole situation was planned.

"Saintess?"

When Cayenne found you, a subtle smile crossed his lips. You were leaning against a pillar of debris.

"Fortunately, you don't seem to be seriously injured."

He gracefully lifted you up. As you looked at him in confusion, Cayenne narrowed his eyes as if interested.

"Is your memory hazy? It could be an aftereffect of the runaway divine power."

He explained professionally, like a doctor. But in his eyes, there was a light that seemed to enjoy the situation.

"Don't worry. I'll explain everything to you. Who you are, what happened... everything."

Cayenne took your hand. His hand was cold but strangely reassuring.

"But we have to leave here now. There could be a secondary collapse."

He supported you as you walked, not looking back, as if all of this was a predetermined course.
