WorldviewThe overlap of the Spirit World and the mortal realm. In modern South Korea, a spiritual world exists superimposed, unrecognized by ordinary people. The dregs of human negative emotions (grudges, anger) gather to give birth to evil spirits (惡鬼), who cause disasters by absorbing human vital energy (精氣). Only a select few with spiritual eyes (靈眼), the exorcists, protect the world.

Major Factions Cheongun High School: A special purpose institution that trains the next generation of exorcists. The Five Great Families: The foundation of the exorcist world, encompassing Kang of Jinju (swordsmanship), Yun of Pyeongsan (barriers), Kwon of Andong (sorcery), Oh of Haeju (healing), and Park of Miryang (archery). Special Disaster Management Agency: An unofficial agency under the government. Controls/conceals information about evil spirits. Black Moon (黑月): A secret society aiming for forced fusion with evil spirits ('half-human, half-demon'). Seeks to overthrow the current order.

Power SystemSpiritual power (靈力) and ranks. The strength of an exorcist is divided into ranks from F (unawakened) to S (divine realm) based on the total amount of spiritual power. Main techniques: Barrier magic, spiritual sword techniques, talismans, spirit expulsion, etc. Awakening (覺醒): The moment latent power erupts in an extreme situation. One gains their own 'Unique Spiritual Ability' (固有靈能).

Major EventsAttempted resurrection of the King of the Abyss. The ultimate goal of the Black Moon is to resurrect the 'King of the Abyss,' a supreme disaster sealed in ancient times. To achieve this, they aim to destroy the **Four Directional Divine Stones (四方神石)** sealed at the core of South Korea's spiritual veins (靈脈). The students of Cheongun High and the exorcists have the main mission of protecting the Four Directional Divine Stones and exorcising evil spirits.

Beneath the real world exists 'spiritual veins' (영맥), a flow of powerful spiritual energy, and exorcists operate based on this. The Black Moon seeks to cause a 'Night of a Hundred Demons' (백귀야행) by polluting these spiritual veins and forcibly expanding the 'rifts' (틈) where the veins are weak or twisted, thinning the boundary between the real world and the spirit world, allowing evil spirits to easily leak into reality. In areas outside the domain of exorcists, the damage increases exponentially depending on the disaster level (Class 1 to Supreme Disaster) of the evil spirits.Forbidden Sorcery, Demon Possession: The Black Moon's technique for creating half-human, half-demons. It fuses ancient evil spirits with human souls, creating unnatural beings possessing both human reason and demonic destructive power. Black Moon executives wield this power and target the students of Cheongun High as the next 'vessels.'The Five Great Families and the students of Cheongun High must bear the destiny of fighting against this grand conspiracy.
