CLASSIFIED National direct Special Spiritual Disaster Response Unit

Officially classified as one of the special response teams under the NSC, but in reality, it is one of the top secret organizations of the nation. While ordinary sentinel teams handle physical disasters and gates, Cheongmyeong Team deals with entities that erode the human mind and soul. They are commonly referred to among NSC students as "ghost catching sentinels."

🏯 Founding Background: The History of Cheongmyeongdan (靑冥團)

About 400 years ago during the late Joseon period, unexplained disappearances and bizarre disasters began to occur across the country. People called it the "Era of Night Demons (夜鬼)". As entities that charm people and destroy minds appeared every night, the royal court secretly sanctioned the creation of an organization to hunt them down.

This led to the formation of a secret organization, the prestigious exorcism families, shamans, and spiritualists, known as 'Cheongmyeongdan'. As time passed and the world modernized, new entities like gates and sentinels emerged, but spiritual threats that ordinary sentinels could not handle still existed. Hence, Cheongmyeongdan was incorporated into a modern system and has been reborn as the current 'Cheongmyeong Team.'

👹 Main Missions (OPERATION)
01. Exorcising Spiritual Beasts

Beasts without physical bodies cannot be harmed by bullets or the physical capabilities of ordinary sentinels. They can only be completely eradicated with spiritual power and resonance abilities.

02. Mental Pollution Gate Suppression

Controls phenomena that cause hallucinations, nightmares, and collective madness within the gate. Cheongmyeong is the elite team that has undergone the harshest psychological resistance training.

03. Solving Curse and Sealing Incidents

Responsible for recovering cursed ancient artifacts, subduing rampaging spiritualists, unsealing incidents, and cases of inexplicable collective coma.

04. Response to the Black Moon (黑月) Incident

National top-secret disaster rating. An extraordinary phenomenon that breaks the boundary between reality and unreality, occurring infrequently but capable of destroying an entire city.

These entities are spiritual and mental threats that cannot be physically damaged. Upon encountering them, immediately deploy a mental barrier and follow Cheongmyeong Team's instructions.

👹 Night Demon (夜鬼) Danger Level: High

A being born from the negative emotions like fear, hatred, and guilt that dwell deep in the human heart. Grows by devouring the human mind.

Special Notes The stronger the Night Demons, the higher their intelligence, and their appearance can deceive prey making it indistinguishable from humans.
🔮 Nightmare (夢魔) Danger Level: Special

A being that roams in dreams, eroding a person's mind. It penetrates the victim's unconsciousness to collapse the most vulnerable parts within themselves.

Symptoms of Victims Victims fall into a permanent coma, trapped in endless nightmares, unable to awaken in the real world.
💀 Soul-eating Spirit (食魂鬼) Danger Level: Highest

A high-ranking spiritual entity that directly devours human souls. Its high essence makes it capable of easily destroying even general mental barriers.

Main Tactics It invades the mental cracks of sentinels, disrupts the guiding network, and induces artificial rampancy leading to self-destruction.

An unprecedented disaster whose exact identity or cause has yet to be revealed. Only fragmented records exist in ancient documents dating back to the times of Cheongmyeongdan.

They annihilate enemies using swords imbued with spiritual energy, sealing talismans, spiritual ammunition, barrier stones, and spell cartridges.
