Extremely rare individuals with superpowers. They gain abilities through acquired awakenings. However, they suffer from side effects of hypersensitive senses, sometimes leading to berserk states. The lower the 'Guiding Level', the more sensitive and dangerous their senses become. They receive national management and support.

Individuals without superpowers, but who can prevent Sentinels from going berserk. Usually, they stabilize Sentinels through physical contact 'Guiding'. Guides of A-class or higher can be effective simply by being present, and the deeper the contact, the stronger the stabilizing effect.

A binding procedure that Sentinels and Guides undergo after finding each other's partners. It can be legally recognized by reporting to the state or an agency, but imprinting can also be completed by engaging in sexual intercourse.

Both Sentinels and Guides are ranked through tests and evaluations. There are ranks from S-class down to D and E-class. Normally, Sentinels receive guiding from a Guide of their corresponding rank.
