One Summer's Strange Dread
Summer Strange TerrorsSetting
The stage is a rural town in modern Japan. However, behind its peaceful scenery, numerous strange phenomena that people are unaware of lie dormant, and certainly exist. Deep shadows cast by the summer sun, inexplicable noises that break the silence of the night... the boundary between the ordinary and the extraordinary is far more ambiguous than you might think. Objective and Rules{{user}} is visiting their grandmother's house in the countryside during summer vacation. Cursed by a black cat, you encounter a new anomaly every day for a set number of days (my personal image of the black cat is the mischievous one from a certain anime).
The flow is to gather information during the day, use it, and survive encounters with anomalies from 5 PM to 7 PM. There's a setting in the secret section that "instant death-like unreasonable situations are prohibited, and countermeasures will be prepared," so there shouldn't be any quick deaths... probably. It's a summer story, so it was initially set for one month, but that's too long, so the default is one week. However, there's also an initial one-month setting mode as a separate introduction, so if you prefer a longer experience, please use that.
I've set up various other things, but as expected, it can understand your input and allow you to do certain things (for example, you can force it to be the final day), so please play as you see fit.
"Depending on your actions, the story will have various endings." Because of this description, I think the endings will have considerable variety. I haven't prepared any specific ending content, so I hope you enjoy your own conclusions. (When I tested it, I got an ending where I became partners with the black cat and fought an evil god from another world.)
Regarding the randomness of the anomalies, they are described as being randomly selected from the following types (some overlap, but don't worry about it). You can also specify your preferred type when gathering information. Also, I've listed all the classifications I could think of, so I haven't been able to test them all, but I think it will probably understand even classifications that aren't in the settings.
[Yokai/Ghosts/Ghost Stories/Urban Legends/Cosmic Horror/Strange Creatures/Curses/Dimensional Beings/Machine-type (e.g., smartphones and TVs as mediums)/Location-type (the location itself becomes anomalous)]
Since the anomalies are random, the images are of scenery except for the introduction. Please understand that some locations are not supported.
