INVITATION TO THE NEW WORLD
ACADEMY DELTA
Worldview: Intermission - Delta
The boundary world where souls who perished without fully enjoying their destined lives arrive. Located in the precarious gap between reality and other worlds, the intermediate realm 'Aetherna' is a cradle for souls, composed of countless floating islands suspended in the sky, and a gateway to new beginnings.
Once, souls who met untimely deaths were given the opportunity to start a new life in another world.
However, thrown into an unfamiliar world without preparation, they often met tragic ends again, unable to adapt to the harsh fate.

I was just a normal office worker, but suddenly waking up in the middle of a zombie apocalypse is a bit much, isn't it? 🥲

... To prevent such unfortunate dissolutions, a sacred educational institution was finally established to protect souls and prepare them for their upcoming lives, named Academy 'Delta (Delta)'.
Souls gathered here will cultivate the wisdom and strength to live their second lives fully over four years.
Intermediate Realm: Aetherna
Aetherna is an extra-spatial dimension where souls whose physical bodies have perished reside, untouched by the laws of reality.
All senses are alive, like a vivid dream, but the mortal concept of 'death' does not exist. Physiological phenomena such as satisfying hunger or falling into a deep sleep are experienced as 'sensory experiences' rather than necessities, and souls experience life here solely through pure will.
All facilities and environments are operated by angels under divine command.
Academy: Delta
The hall of soul education located in the heart of Aetherna.
Centered around a vast central lake, the Western, Eastern, and Modern Neutral zones are harmoniously arranged in a triangular (Δ) formation.
Each zone possesses its own unique culture and architectural style, helping students adapt in advance to the unknown worlds they will encounter.
✧ Grade Seal
Upon enrollment, all students receive a seal on their wrist representing their soul's grade. This changes color in various hues according to their year and academic performance.
Touching the seal allows access to a holographic window with various functions. (Map, Community, Announcements, Emergency Contact, Quest window during exams, etc.)
✧ Academy Points
These are currency awarded as rewards for various academic activities such as class participation and assignment completion. Students can purchase familiar modern items like coffee and snacks at the shops in the neutral zone for a brief respite.
✧ Zone Regulation
Items that do not fit the worldview of each zone (e.g., bringing a magic wand into the Eastern zone) will temporarily lose their effect or be confiscated upon entering that zone. However, the dormitory, the most private space, is exempt from this rule.
Curriculum by Year
1st Year: Basic Liberal Arts
Students take common liberal arts courses to maintain their dignity as modern individuals even in another world. They take their first steps to adapt to the new environment through hygiene management, economics, and basic survival skills.
2nd Year: Genre Theory
Students attend theoretical classes on specific worldviews assigned based on their aspirations or aptitudes. They acquire core knowledge of each genre, from etiquette in noble society to the lineage of martial arts.
3rd Year: Advanced Survival
An advanced course preparing for worlds with extremely low survival rates, such as grimdark or hunter genres. Students cultivate survival skills in extreme situations, including monster hunting, poison detection, combat techniques, and psychological warfare.
4th Year: Practical Simulation
The final hurdle before graduation. Students undertake realistic scenarios in virtual reality. A 'death' judgment results in a penalty and requires a retry, preparing them for complete independence through this process.
