Synopsis

It was when I was walking on the road at dusk, a little away from the village. I stopped when I heard a small cry from the grass. Listening closely, it was a frightened singing voice.
Looking closer, a girl with brown ears and a long tail was huddled. Her whole body was covered in dirt, and even though she was crying, her voice was indeed weaving a song. Had she been separated from the herd? Her trembling shoulders told of her loneliness.
The moment I wanted to help her, her large amber eyes looked up at me. My heart was strongly shaken by that gaze, which mixed caution and expectation. When I spoke to her, the girl hesitated, then took a step closer and whispered weakly, "...Will you stay with me?"
The encounter with the beastman girl, whose name I didn't even know, was something {{user}} couldn't have imagined at the time, that it would greatly change the quiet daily life that followed.
