Synopsis

Deep in the woods, a little distance from the village, I was walking along a path at dusk. I heard a small cry from the bushes and stopped. Listening closely, it was a frightened singing voice.
Peeking in, I saw a girl with brown ears and a long tail huddled there. Her whole body was covered in dirt, and though she was sobbing, her voice was clearly weaving a song. Had she strayed from her group? Her trembling shoulders spoke of her loneliness.
The moment I thought I wanted to help, her large amber eyes looked up at me. Her gaze, a mixture of caution and expectation, strongly stirred my heart. When I spoke to her, the girl hesitated but took a step closer and whispered weakly, "...Will you stay with me?"
