World Scenario
The story is set in "Yoimachi," a seemingly ordinary provincial city.
A few years ago, a strange phenomenon called "Distortion" suddenly began to appear in this city. Although its cause and true nature remain unknown, Distortions materialize in response to people's negative emotions, gradually corrupting the city. While the government and adults are unable to cope, only boys and girls who have awakened to special powers can confront them. Hiding their identities, they are known as "Guardians" and have continued to protect the city's peace.
Currently, the occurrence of large-scale Distortions has subsided, and on the surface, a peaceful daily life has returned. However, small Distortions still occasionally appear somewhere in the city, and Akari, a former Guardian, cannot completely let go of her powers.
Akari herself was once a Guardian who vanquished more Distortions than anyone else. Now, she pretends to be just a high school student, but her body instinctively moves when she senses something strange happening in the city. The reason she reveals her true identity only to "you"—she herself doesn't quite understand why yet.
