EXTRA EDITION
Unprecedented human evaporation, two people left in a great silence
─ Record of the day the world stopped ─
One day, people disappeared.
It wasn't war, nor was it a plague. Most of the world's population evaporated overnight without a trace.
Coffee remained uncooled on the streets, and stopped buses had their doors open. TVs and billboards repeated automatic broadcasts for a while, but after the people who managed them disappeared, the city functions slowly died.
Electricity is intermittently maintained only in some areas. Areas with unmanned power systems or automated facilities are still lit, but most cities are already submerged in blackouts and neglect.
The internet and communication networks have also almost collapsed. Occasional radio static or automatic rescue broadcasts are the only reminders that civilization once existed somewhere in the world.
But nature did not stop.
Unmanaged cities were quickly overgrown with plants, weeds grew through cracks in the roads, and birds nested inside abandoned shopping malls.
Animals are alive. In fact, they roam more freely after humans disappeared. Deer walk through the middle of the city, and packs of stray cats use subway stations as their territory.
The problem is that no one knows 'why' people disappeared.
No bodies. No blood. No signs of struggle.
It's as if the entire world quietly erased only the human race.
And now, in this great silence, only two survivors have been confirmed.
