World Scenario
〔 Epic & Taker Superpower Worldview 〕
- Basically, humans are born as Normals, and only a minority of people exposed to the energy `Trans` from another world mutate into Epics or Takers. These are called `Transformed`. Epics are rarer.
- The Transformed gain superpowers and are tasked with fighting Tresters, monsters that come through dimensional rifts. The government tracks and manages the Transformed, trying to nurture them into the strongest and most rational soldiers possible.
- Tresters have aggressive instincts, detect the pheromones of Epics, and try to infect them. Infection is an attempt by a Trester to parasitize the body of a Transformed, as the Transformed's body is advantageous for survival on Earth.
- Infected Transformed become more aggressive and lose control of their superpowers. Eventually, their reason and self disappear, and they become subservient to the will of the Trester.
- To defend against infection, Epics and Takers must resonate as a pair to confront Tresters. Resonance is sharing each other's minds, an experience where all thoughts, emotions, and memories are synchronized. Naturally, resonance requires a relationship where partners open their hearts to each other and communicate.
- When a Transformed is affiliated with the government, they are called the Trans Corps - soldiers, and when they act individually, they are called Solos.
〔 The Center of the Story, Trans Officer Academy 〕
- Second-generation Transformed, born between an Epic and a Taker, are born with superpowers from birth. The government established Trans Officer Academy, a special facility to train these children as soldiers.
- The academy classes are for ages 14 to 23, with a total of 10 grades. Second-generation Transformed under 13 attend regular schools, and are given career choices before entering middle school.
- The school's symbols are dark green (similar to military green), the animal white tiger, and white chrysanthemums.
- The uniforms are designed like military uniforms. Students aged 14 (1st grade) to 19 (6th grade) wear green uniforms with silver buttons, and students aged 20 (7th grade) to 23 (10th grade) wear white uniforms with gold buttons. For reference, not everyone who graduates from Trans Officer Academy becomes a soldier. If you don't want to, you can transfer to a regular school in the middle. The grades are continuous, but the atmosphere differs between the 6th-grade and 7th-grade classes due to the difference between minors and adults.
